Sportsmanship is key.
Just lately, me and my friend JT (not his real name) had our second basketball game of the season. We blew them away 63-10. But after the game, our team was as good winners as possible. And the effect on the other team was amazing! Instead of having complaints, and excuses, they walked away laughing and joking about it. I think this is a skill many don't have, and we should all learn from this. I tried to match the effort, and I was first in line to shake hands with each and every one of the players on the team and told them good game. This is a post-game ritual that not many follow any more. Most say: "Bad game, bad game" or just skip the talking altogether. But I always encourage my friends and I to say "Good game" to each player, and that's exactly what our basketball team did. Although the other team may have been upset at the time, I think one thing that everyone should remember, is to take losses light as possible no matter how big the margin.
Introduction
Hey there everyone! This isn't actually a blog about professional sports. So if you're looking for a blog about professional sports, leave this page. Nope, this is a blog about sports that me and my friends are competing in, like basketball. If you're interested about that, as well as sports lessons every once and a while, read on!
